to the local thrift store. Charity Clothing Pickup offers a door to door pickup
service that will do all the hard work. All it takes is scheduling a pickup date,
packing up the items, and Charity Clothing Pickup will do the rest of the work.
Participating in door to door pickup services is extremely easy. In fact, the entire
process can be completed in 3 steps.
Step 1 – Carefully Prepare the Items
Individuals are welcome to donate clothing such as shirts, pants, and jackets, of
all sizes and types. In addition to these items, thrift stores are always on the
lookout for 'must have' items.
Popular clothing items that thrift stores are always in need of include:
- Purses
- Shoes
- Accessories – gloves, hats, belts
Clothing that is going to be donated should be properly prepared. This includes
removing the hangers, checking all pockets for any items, and gently washing the
clothing. After the clothing has been washed, fold and stack the clothing into piles.
Household items, such as bedding, towels, sheets, and blankets, are always a welcome
donation. Even if they appear worn or are considered threadbare, these items can
be donated and used for recycling or cleaning supplies.
Preparation for these items is very similar to clothing. Wash them, if possible,
and fold them up for storage.
Step 2 – Properly Store the Items
All donated items will need to be properly stored in suitable containers. Try not
to overfill the containers, if possible.

Step 3 – Schedule the Pickup Date
Once you're ready to donate your items, you can
click here to register with us and schedule a pickup, or click on the
"Schedule a Pickup" button on top of this page. This will allow you to schedule
a pickup date for your donation.
At your scheduled pickup time, put your donations outside and Charity Clothing Pickup
will come and retrieve them. We will make sure to leave a tax receipt for every
scheduled pickup.
